Deloitte Blockchain EMEA Office, Dublin
Aim
The Deloitte Blockchain team identified an existing bland 70’s office space which they wanted to transform into an inspiring workplace for this forward thinking, dynamic team, facilitating ideation and collaboration with internal teams and clients alike.
The space was also to inspire clients to open their minds to the groundbreaking solutions the team are proposing to existing systems and processes.
Details
The theme for the space was “posh garage”, representing new approaches, tinkering with ideas and pushing the boundaries.
The layout promotes various types of working: focused and collaborative, refuge, team, enclave and community working. spaces are provided for focused individual work in the open plan space, team-based tasks, individual concentrated or confidential tasks, small huddles of 2-3 people in quieter corners, quiet group sessions of up to 6 people, group training, presentations and press events for up 40 people, or 80 with the garage doors open. Multifunctional communal spaces allow for informal collaboration, hot -desking, knowledge sharing and social interaction.
There was a strong emphasis on sustainability with many of the materials salvaged or reclaimed. The reception desk is made of two steel beams salvaged from the nearby historical Boland’s Mill Building.
The artwork package designed in collaboration with Image Now celebrates inventions that were first considered unthinkable but in time changed the world. The artwork displayed throughout the space allows the team to take clients on an introductory walkthrough the space where they can emphasize how opening our minds can enable some of the best developments to be successful.
